The 2nd International Workshop on Computational Linguistics and Bangla Language Processing (CLBLP 2023), held at the IT Business Incubator on February 21st and 22nd, 2023, proved to be a resounding success. Convening leading national academicians, researchers, engineers, and practitioners, the event fostered a vibrant platform for sharing cutting-edge advancements in Bangla Language Processing (BLP).

With the theme “Language Technology for Smart Bangladesh,” CLBLP 2023 delved into various aspects of BLP, aiming to unlock its potential in shaping a smarter nation. The event featured a noteworthy Shared Task Competition, showcasing participants’ adeptness in BLP skills and fostering a spirit of healthy competition and innovation. Attendees gained valuable hands-on experience with GPUs through workshops, empowering them to efficiently address advanced BLP tasks and expedite their research and development initiatives. Renowned academicians led insightful Knowledge Sharing Sessions, disseminating valuable information and sparking discussions on the future of BLP. The NLP Industry Meet-up, a dedicated forum, facilitated meaningful connections between researchers and industry professionals, paving the way for potential collaborations and career opportunities.

Beyond these key events, CLBLP 2023 served as a catalyst for building a robust BLP community in Bangladesh. The collaborative spirit and the exchange of ideas laid the groundwork for further advancements in the field, contributing significantly to the realization of a Smart Bangladesh empowered by language technology.
