About Resource Person:
Vashkar Bhattacharjee is a disability inclusion and digital accessibility expert with over 19 years of experience. A person with visual disability, he currently serves as Consultant on Accessibility for the Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Program, Government of Bangladesh, Inclusion Advisor at YPSA, and Country Representative of G3ict in Bangladesh. He has led the development of award-winning accessible ICT solutions and works closely with organizations of persons with disabilities to advance inclusive development, humanitarian action, and digital accessibility.
Vashkar’s contributions span inclusive disaster management, climate change adaptation, and policy advocacy at national and global levels. His biography was featured in Bangladesh’s Class Six textbook in 2023, and he has spoken at universities, UN agencies, and TEDx. Recognized internationally, he is the first Bangladeshi to receive the UNESCO/Emir Jaber al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah Prize for Digital Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, among many other prestigious awards and fellowships.

Join us for the Digital Accessibility Training (DAT) at IT Business Incubator, CUET, organized by the Aspire to Innovate Program (a2i). During this session, students will learn how to implement accessible practices and assistive technology for people with disabilities based on web accessibility principles and practices.
