• Promote entrepreneurship cultures among university graduates in IT/ITES
sectors.
Develop an innovation hub as the centre of excellence for solving local and
global problems through IT/ICT/ITES.
• Develop skill manpower on the contemporary technologies to competently
work on the fourth industrial revolution.
• Establish effective linkage between academia and industries for achieving
competitiveness in global IT/ITES markets.

About Us

Welcome to the IT Business Incubator (ITBI) at CUET – an incubator of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

The ITBI incubator is located on the campus of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology, making it a perfect launchpad for the next generation of IT/ITES startups. It was established in 2012 through the collaboration of the ICT Division, CUET, and Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) to merge academic excellence with real-world business applications. The incubator was revitalized and officially opened in December 2019, symbolizing a renewed commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among university graduates and faculty members.

We at ITBI are committed to fostering and supporting the growth of IT/ITES startups right from their inception. In our ecosystem, we provide mentorship, resources, and guidance that lead to successful businesses. The IT business incubator aims to transform Bangladesh by cultivating a fertile ground for entrepreneurs and spearheading research and development programs relevant to the sector’s needs.

With our ambitious vision, we aim for a digitally transformed Bangladesh where ITBI alums lead IT/ITES. ITBI’s goals complement Bangladesh’s national aspirations to foster a thriving IT/ITES ecosystem, empower young entrepreneurs, and bridge the academic market gap.
